Mark Finchem Files To Run For Arizona State Senate (LD-1)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Prescott, AZ (July 26, 2023) – Hon. Mark Finchem has filed a Statement of Interest with the Arizona Secretary of State to run for the State Senate, Legislative District 1 which includes Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Sedona and Dewey-Humbolt.

Mr. Finchem served for eight years in the Arizona House of Representatives and was the Trump endorsed 2022 Republican Nominee for Arizona Secretary of State. Several court cases challenging the results of the 2022 election, specifically in Maricopa County, remain unresolved, which means it is still possible that a new election could be ordered.

“I love Yavapai County,” said Mr. Finchem. “Yavapai County is by nature conservative socially and politically, and I think the people can be better represented by an individual such as myself who is focused on delivering for constituents, not government bureaucracy and special interests. I will fight hard for election integrity, border security, gun rights, standing up to big tech, standing up to the woke mob and protecting parental rights.”

“The current representation here in the Arizona senate is at best milquetoast,” continued Finchem. “The people of Legislative District 1 deserve better, representation by a real America First conservative fighter. I am that guy and proven to be one not afraid to fight for those I represent.”

Much work remains to clean up the election process, including close examination of A.R.S. § Title 16, which is election law. In several counties the voter rolls are a mess with phantom voters, which facilitates ballot harvesting leading to the counting of ballots that are illegitimate.

Mr. Finchem won Yavapai county by nearly 3 to 1 against the 2nd most vote getter during the Secretary of State race. It was his best county, reflecting the support he has on the ground.

“While the ‘governor’ vetos every meaningful piece of legislation designed to improve the quality of life for all of the people of Arizona, it is still important to stand up to attempts to impose executive and judicial tyranny upon those that should be served by limited government. For this and many more reasons, I am running to be the next State Senator from Legislative District 1.” – Hon. Mark Finchem
