On Monday, November 30, 2020, members of President Trump’s legal team held a public hearing in Phoenix, Arizona with select members of the Arizona legislature — organized by Rep. Mark Finchem — to gather and examine evidence of election irregularities and fraud. Trump’s personal attorney Jenna Ellis and Rudy Giuliani led the hearing, in which whistleblowers spoke about fraud that they encountered during the 2020 election, and Trump’s team presented affidavits addressing fraud and other election irregularities to the lawmakers. The evidence presented at this meeting is what first prompted the Arizona Legislature to commence a forensic audit of the 2020 election in Maricopa County.
