Mark Finchem Is Fighting for Our Conservative Values and Serving The People

Mark Finchem has built a reputation as a legislator who not only shows up but also stands firm on the values that matter most to Arizonans. His record reflects both a strong conservative vision and a commitment to faithfully representing his district.

Finchem’s record at the State Legislature shows a consistent commitment to conservative principles and the values of Arizona families. Throughout the most recent session, he cast key votes on some of the most pressing issues facing our state. He supported measures to strengthen border security and uphold the rule of law, including HB2099, which reinforced cooperation between the Governor and Attorney General on immigration enforcement. He also stood firm for parents and children, backing HB2063 to ensure families are notified and retain authority over school immunization exemptions.

When it came to protecting minors from harmful influences, Finchem voted in favor of HB2112, requiring age verification for online pornography sites. His dedication to law and order was clear with his support of HB2340, which increased penalties for those who murder law enforcement officers. In addition, he defended the rights of law-abiding gun owners by voting for SB1014, repealing restrictions on firearm suppressors. Finchem also backed stronger penalties for crimes involving sexual conduct with minors, including HB2114 and HB2115.

His conservative record extended to other critical issues as well. Finchem supported HB2221, which prohibited the defunding of law enforcement, standing up for the men and women who keep Arizona communities safe. He also voted in favor of HB2670, requiring schools to provide instruction on fetal development, reinforcing the importance of protecting life and informing students about the value of the unborn.

Equally important as his voting record is his commitment to being present and engaged. During the Fifty-seventh Legislature, First Regular Session, from January 13 through June 25, 2025, Finchem attended nearly every session day.

Out of 66 actual days in session, he was present for 64, with only two excused absences and zero unexcused absences. This record demonstrates his dedication to showing up, casting votes, and ensuring that the voices of his constituents are heard on the floor of the Legislature.

Together, his voting record and attendance reflect a legislator who is not only guided by conservative values but also firmly committed to the responsibility of serving the people who elected him.
