Acknowledging Parental Authority

I am pleased to announce that HB 2088, a bill to acknowledge parental authority through informed consent, passed out of the Senate on Monday.  Even though the bill has been dramatically amended, we now have an acknowledgement of parental authority, to protect personal information and we’ve seen the introduction of the concept of “cure” into Arizona Revised Statutes.

The Bill was amended in the Senate and the House will likely concur with my blessing on the alterations.

And You Thought Common Core Was Bad?

And you thought Common Core was bad?

Does it seem the Federal government isn’t listening to the governed?  Well, that’s because they aren’t.  From the Legislative branch to the executive branch, to the judicial and especially the 4th estate, the federal bureaucracy.  Education is a state matter, not a federal canvass to be painted upon at the whim of individuals seeking ultimate power over the people.  Education is not an enumerated power, it is in fact a state matter.
