HB2158: I’ve received a number of emails and calls about the SB1390/HB2158 package to extend the Prop 301 Sales Tax for Education. I share the concern about education funding and the teacher shortage. I am inclined to support the proposed SB1390/HB2158 additional rate package. Why Does NGS Matter?

The Navajo Generating Station (NGS) is an important component in the generation of what is called “base-load” electricity.  Base-load is that electricity generated when the wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t shining.  It is the energy that is always at the ready when we have hot summers and want the air conditioning on, that keeps our manufacturers manufacturing, and it is that energy that pushes water uphill in Arizona.
